He knows he is going down. He’s about to go after the Epstein victims hard. I have a feeling someone in that group was possibly abused by him and just hasnt made it publicly known yet. They may have been waiting for the release.
The wannabe dictator doing wannabe dictator things, steadily moving towards God-Emperor status.
Prepping for the release of the files.
This move seems counterproductive to transparency. Whistleblowers are essential for accountability, regardless of the administration.
The protection of whistleblowers is vital for maintaining transparency in any administration. This is a significant policy shift.
Without solid protections, there is a risk of discouraging reports of potential wrongdoing. This is definitely a cause for concern.
A president shouldn’t be able to do this without Congressional approval…
Something only someone guilty as sin would do.
LMAO guiltiest man on the fucking planet
Welp, there’s about to be so many leaks.
As usual, someone behind the throne (Vought? Miller?) is directing this. Donnie TACO probably didn’t even know these laws existed, and he likely thinks a “whistleblower” is someone who literally blows a whistle (although he has “allegedly” done some blowing before).
Whistleblower protections are set by law. The president doesn’t get to just decide they don’t exist.
Fuck this piece of shit and everyone that supports him.
>The White House is close to implementing a new rule that would effectively eradicate congressionally approved whistleblower protections.
>Congress has passed several laws since the 1970s extending protections to federal workers who call out governmental wrongdoing. But the Trump administration is planning on chipping away at that by updating its policy on accountability, which would “exclude senior employees from legal protections that prohibit U.S. government agencies from retaliating against whistleblowers,” reported Reuters Tuesday.
>Federal employment attorneys noted that the new policy would make targets out of the people most likely to find themselves in positions to uncover serious corruption.
>“Translation: Trump can fire federal employees who point out that he’s broken the law. That’s pretty damn dark,” wrote Miles Taylor, an ex–Homeland Security official who drew national attention in 2018 when he anonymously penned an op-ed for The New York Times claiming to be part of the internal “resistance” against Trump’s first-term agenda.
>It would follow through on Donald Trump’s April proposal to create a new federal employee category to “enhance accountability.”
>“This rule empowers federal agencies to swiftly remove employees in policy-influencing roles for poor performance, misconduct, corruption, or subversion of Presidential directives, without lengthy procedural hurdles,” reads a White House fact sheet from the time on the proposed changes.
>The Office of Personnel Management estimated at the time that the switch-up could affect as many as 50,000 positions across government agencies.
>The Trump administration told Reuters Tuesday that the new rule would not strip employees of their current protections but would “put individual federal agencies in charge of enforcing those safeguards.”
>“This administration is making good on its determination to silence dissent in all forms, creating a culture of fear, silence and intimidation,” Andrew Bakaj, chief legal counsel of the nonpartisan group Whistleblower Aid, told Reuters in a statement.
MAGA: *That’s right, we ordered a Trump White House with* extra *corruption.*
thus proving they are going to silence anyone that speaks up about anyone in the epstein files meaning if they abused you. run
I wonder why? Could Donald have done something illegal, immoral, unethical, and/or unjust? Perhaps trying to prevent someone from revealing wrongdoing and/or the on going cover up of the Epstein files?
Why have we normalized being governed by executive order?
I wonder if he’s terrified that one of the thousands of FBI agents he had redacting his name from the Epstein files will talk.
Can’t have some agents in the massive FBI task force blowing their little whistles and saying they were ordered by Trump to remove all nasty references to him from the Epstein files. Now can we?
Just look at that photo. He looks very ill, very vengeful, and his eyes are soulless. God only knows what he will be planning next.
Hmmm. Just after the Epstein files are set to go.
Curious.
Another display of how transparent this administration really is. Let’s see those un-redacted Epstein files.
Saw that comin’ miles away
People voted for this man, by the way.
This guy who looks like he’s straight up incapable of experiencing joy without it being at the expense of others
Whistleblowers who might tell the public what scrubbing they did on the Epstein files? All too predictable. This administration has also aggressively moved to eliminate legal counsel from the military to ease giving them illegal orders.
Is this to make it less likely someone leaks the unredacted Epstein files after we get the sanitized version.
Felons can’t have you calling out their felonies!!
But of course he does. He’s had too many whistleblowers throughout his administrations tell everyone what’s going on.
And as usual, this is effectively the fault of the Supreme court. With any functioning branch of government it could be pointed out that this is a law, and we don’t have a king who can just overrule or ignore congress.
Too bad that rule of law thing is the old era of America.
Interesting timing. I’m sure it has nothing at all to do with certain files that they’re definitely not messing with.
Gotta prepare for the Epstein cover up.
Just before the release of the files.
Nothing to see here, I am sure Dumpy has a great rationale for this.
