How it feels using an eflow tag in the express lane looking over at the peasantry fishing for loose change at the booths

  1. I have never understood why anyone who even occasionally uses a toll wouldn’t get a tag.

They cost like €1.20 a month and you save €1 every time you go through the M50 toll.

I know people who still get their coins together every time they’re going to be going through the toll.

  2. Then when you see someone in the fast lane behind you get the red X and the bar drops. That’s pure humiliation. As I keep zooming along with my account that I pay via direct debit.

  3. I have a small van, some tolls charge me for a car and some for a van I think. They are quite random depending on what lane I use. Am I imagining it?

  4. F**king eflow – what a blatant rip off. What’s road tax for?

    The powers-that-be must have thought,
“If the suckers accept this they’ll accept anything.” … And we did.
We deserve the sh*thole shambolix system that has been made for us because we are complicit in its construction.

There, that’s my Monday rant over but I’ll stand by every word of it tomorrow.

  5. I really don’t get how people have an issue with paying 1 euro per month. then prefer to have to drive to some shop to pay the toll…

  6. We should be allowed push the cars that crawl through really, really slow or even stop. How are we going to feel superior to the others if we come out at the same time.

  7. Nothing better than some arsehole who overtakes you only to get stuck at the toll booth while you sail through.

  8. eFlow is the tolling brand name of the M50 motorway tolling operation managed by Irish company Turas Mobility Services (a subsidiary of a French global organization called VINCI Concessions) on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

Just like the parking services, the majority of the income created goes to a foreign multi national.

In short, it’s a shakedown facilitated by previous and successive government officials.

  9. I use contactless, not coins. But not with my phone though becuase that would be too convenient apparently.

  10. Pro tip: The electronic tag works in any lane. If the road isn’t busy you don’t even have to shunt yourself over to the special E-tag lane. You can drive straight through any gate.

  11. How it feels not using an etag because you work from home and don’t need to drive constantly. Feet up, smokin!😜

  12. I got one of these when they first came out, imagine my surprise after a decade (on three different cars) when the fecker stopped working and I had to join the peons queuing for the cashier.

Turns out they have a shelf life, they sent me a new one but I’ll never forget the shame.
