Lithuania must decide this year whether to accept 158 migrants annually under the European Union’s newly approved Migration and Asylum Pact or pay about 20,000 euros for each person it chooses not to take. Countries that accept and integrate migrants would receive 10,000 euros per individual.

  1. What the hell.
Having the same monetary amount for each country regardless of difference in budgets/wages/benefit systems is a bit nuts.

I suppose the 158 differentiates as a per capita thing, but still

  2. “… and integrate” exactly the problem. Majority of these so called asylum seekers are religious zealots and thus not possible to integrate.

  3. And here I thought Lithuania accepts gazillion times more than 158, by accepting war refugees / migrants from Ukraine. I guess that doesn’t count, does it? Must it be Africa or Middle East or some sort of illegals?

  4. Kiekvienus metus priimam 10000 slavų, bet keliam problemą dėl 150 migrantų. Kaip suprantu pagrindinė problema, nes ne balti.
