Can someone explain me why is the unification good/neccessary? (I’m an outsider, living in the EU)

At this stage I’m starting to think the guy who makes the machine that makes chicken nuggets is a republican and programs it in. If you’ve ever eaten chicken at all you’ve probably eaten chicken in the shape of Ireland or in the shape of Cork but you’ll never find processed chicken in the shape of France or Vietnam.
KFC have released a statement confirming that they do support a united Ireland…under the wings of British rule.
