WANA (Nov 21) – The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced late Thursday that it has added a new group of individuals, companies, vessels, and aircraft to its Iran-related sanctions list. The measures were introduced as part of what Washington described as an effort to target “an oil network supporting Iran’s military sector.”

According to details published on the Treasury’s website, the new designations cover 14 individuals, 24 companies, 10 vessels, and 7 aircraft, all sanctioned under various U.S. laws and executive orders.

The listed individuals include nationals of Singapore, Iran, and Canada. The targeted companies are based across multiple jurisdictions, including the United Arab Emirates, Greece, Singapore, Liberia, Germany, Panama, India, and Iran.

The sanctioned vessels were operating under the flags of Panama, Comoros, Cameroon, and Gambia. All seven aircraft were designated for their links to Mahan Air.

Washington says the action forms part of its broader campaign of economic pressure on Iran. The U.S. also requires American companies and firms operating in third countries to comply with these sanctions.
