Croatia’s representative, Laura Gnjatović, has placed in the Top 30 at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, held last night in Thailand.

The Zadar-born beauty, who currently lives in Dubrovnik while completing her final year of undergraduate nursing studies, delivered one of Croatia’s most memorable performances on the Miss Universe stage.

This year’s Miss Universe 2025 crown went to Mexico’s Fátima Bosch, with Thailand finishing as first runner-up.

Venezuela took second runner-up, followed by the Philippines and Ivory Coast completing the Top 5.

Shortly after the results were announced, Laura shared an emotional video message from Thailand on her social media channels, expressing her joy and gratitude for the immense support she received.

“People dear, we made it! You can’t imagine how happy I am! We didn’t go further, but it doesn’t matter -Top 30! Everyone knows who Croatia is, believe me!” she said, smiling through excitement.

She added that the flood of messages she received meant the world to her.

“I am so proud and so happy! Honestly, I’m returning to my country as the biggest winner ever! Thank you to everyone who supported me – love to you all and see you soon!”

In the caption, she wrote: “Thank you, my country.” Croatian fans responded with hundreds of comments, praising her elegance, authenticity, and heartfelt representation of Croatia.
