An Afghan national has admitted raping a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton.

Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, changed his plea from not guilty to guilty of one count of raping a child under the age of 13 on 22 July.

Mulakhil, of no fixed abode, previously denied abducting a child, three counts of rape of a child under 13 and two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 at a hearing in August.

He appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Friday alongside co-defendant Mohammad Kabir, also 23.

Mr Kabir, of no fixed abode, denied attempting to take a child, aiding and abetting rape of a child under 13 and intentional strangulation of the girl.

The defendants, who Warwickshire Police previously confirmed were Afghan nationals, were aided by interpreters during the hearing in front of Judge Kristina Montgomery KC.

Mr Kabir spoke only to confirm his name, while Mulakhil confirmed his name and entered his guilty plea when he was rearraigned on one count of rape.

The allegations against the two men led to protests outside Nuneaton Town Hall on 9 August when St George's Cross and Union flags were held as protesters marched along the high street and chanted "stop the boats" and "we want our country back".

Stand Up to Racism counter-protesters were significantly outnumbered outside the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council offices.

    Imagine going to protest **for** someone who just raped a child. How disgusting are these people.

  2. Oh look, I wonder how those looney left types who counter protested, or were name calling anyone online as “far right” “racists” “thugs” or “flag shaggers” who rightly called this out at the time now feel?

    Hmm, openly defending and protesting for people coming to this country and raping our children…

    Nowadays, there only rebuttal seems to be that theres plenty of British criminals too, yes there is, we don’t want more added on top of the criminals we already have.

  6. The Labour Party are happy to asylum to anyone so long as their previous jail sentence was less than a year, according to a home office whistle-blower. Across the Atlantic the Epstein files issue shows that the rich and powerful in many cases are above the law. 

    The Labour government doesn’t really care about this  they just shed crocodile tears.

  9. B-but white people commit crimes. Yes and we have a system to combat that and we do. But allowing people in to the country that seem to do it happily and without restraint doesn’t help our overloaded prison system and lack of infrastructure. Racist? Fuck off with this nonsense

  10. These reports are relentless at the moment, and yet we’re *repeatedly* told that these men are fleeing persecution/torture/oppression. How the hell do you differentiate between the geunine small boat refugees and the criminals? We literally have no idea of the background of these men and yet they are put into the heart of communities within days of arrival.

    There’s a very high likelihood that these men were abused themselves. Doesn’t excuse what they have done of course, and they should be removed. Similarly, people like them – given the high likelihood of trauma, should be treated accordingly. However – we have resource issues; most resources are diverted and the ramifications are blamed on fucks like these. It’s a shame.

  17. So these protesters are more concerned about the possibility of racism towards this rapist than they are about what happened to this child.

Friendly reminder that the group overrepresented in CSA statistics in the country is white people, I’m not saying that to imply white people are bad, but to point out the papers choose what crimes they report on to make you angry, because anger generates clicks, and click generate ads revenue.

  20. “Of no fixed abode” means they’re being housed in a migrant hotel. It’s a way for the government to act like these are the crimes of homeless people.
