1. I think it is actively impressive how badly Your Party has fumbled the situation in Wales.

   With the new voting system, Labour’s unpopularity, ongoing questions about Plaid, and the Greens being a pro-indy party, there was definitely a good 15% chunk of the electorate, particularly in constituencies across South Wales, that would have voted for a more left wing Labour alternative that was more unionist, if anti Westminster. I think they would have stood a good chance of being a coalition partner after the next election.

   Winter has more experience than Anthony Slaughter, and with the broader UK coverage, I think they would have stood a really good chance.

   The problem is, they’ve completely fucked setting it up, whereas the Zack bounce has gone almost perfectly for the Greens, leaving them completely irrelevant.

2. “We’re not the Judean Popular Front, we’re the Popular Front of Judea!”

3. This lot have been incredible comic relief at a time when politics has been incredibly depressing.

4. I really like Beth Winter. She was a brilliant MP; a strong communicator, grounded in community. I wish her well with this and hope she can shake off the baggage of Your Party. She’s seen that YP wasn’t taking Wales seriously and has taken decisive action to do something about it. That is courageous. It would be easier to remain hitched to that wagon even as it hurtles toward a cliff edge. It might be too little, too late to pull a party together to make serious headway but I hope she can at least win a seat for herself in the Senedd and get back into elected politics.

7. At this point all the mishaps feel deliberate. These are smart people how are they making such a mess?!

8. I predicted this party would be a joke and they didn’t let me down.
