I have a feeling the Protocol row will drag on until the next UK administration. Assuming that won’t be Tory, it will then probably be quickly wrapped up by the UK agreeing to abide by the Protocol.
ooh, a little Brexit spat in my life was exactly what I was missing
who is afraid of EU? lol
Just enforce hard border in Ireland and this will solve itself.
Can the sanction be that we have to rejoin the EU?
I’m sure sanctions will be threatened but the issue is the GFA is now causing problems and until the DUP sit back down, violence could return.
So, if the changes the UK want to make to make trade between GB and NI easier isn’t a big issue for the SM, then make those changes.
Once made, both sides can look into ways to mitigate the issues.
Let’s be honest here. A border between GB and NI, is just as bad as a border between NI and Eire. Neither should be in place, and it should be up to everyone to get that sorted as quick as possible.
