Those of you in Gdańsk, does Kaliningrad being so close worry you? And if Russia loses this war, do you think they should have to remove nuclear weapons from Kaliningrad and allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to perform regular inspections in exchange for lifting some sanctions?

  1. You should feel safe knowing Kaliningrad is occupied.
The second Russian troops are evacuated, I would worry.
Why? Everyone thinks Russia will bomb their city/country.
That would be inefficient; all Putin needs to do is bomb Chernobyl.
The prevailing winds would assure any surviving Europeans would be so irradiated that their offspring, if they could have any, would not look human.
Strategically, that’s probably one of the easiest, most efficient ways Putin could wipe out NATO.

  2. I’m in Gdańsk and Kaliningrad being there is of no concern to me. If they wanted to start a war, they have Belarus to go through, and if they wanted to nuke us, it being close makes no difference.

  3. I kinda laughed at mentioning pooten removing his nukes. Nobody’s removing anything while he’s alive, don’t be naive.

  4. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little bit concerned; Gdańsk and Gdynia both have large ports that have been used as shipping hubs for weapons and supplies going to Ukraine. One would assume that if Russia were to strike Poland, those ports would be among the first targets.

With that being said, that’s how WWIII starts, and at that point it doesn’t matter if you’re in Gdańsk or Sri Lanka. You’re gonna have a bad time either way.

  5. Nah i dont care about it, we are in their range even without taking Kaliningrad into account. What happens after the war is a mystery however for russia to get rid off its nukes from certain parts of their territory is impossible unless Ukraine can somehow completly crush russia and force them into surrender.

  6. I believe the ones in Kaliningrad have a wider range than just Gdańsk, it’s not like it’s more dangerous than other cities just because Gdańsk is close.
But right now Russia can’t rule out a NATO counterstrike, for which Kaliningrad is quite conveniently located, so I think there’s more to lose for them in this scenario.
Then again, they haven’t been making sound decisions since this whole thing started, so nothing is off the table I guess.
And yes, I think it would be better for all included if they were to remove nukes from there.
