According to Ukrinform, this is reported by Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine
In the Belarusian education system from 2021 to 2025, a steady course toward the ideologization and militarization of learning is taking shape.
According to experts and intelligence assessments, the process is gaining systemic momentum: it spans all levels of education – from kindergartens to higher education institutions.
In the school context, military-patriotic elements have become a routine component of the four-year curriculum.
Cooperation with security structures is growing even more in colleges and universities. Preschool education remains less covered for now, though the authorities are trying to change this situation.
Militarization manifests itself through the consolidation of military components at the institutional level, regular contacts between educational institutions and security agencies, and the integration of educational programs with state ideology.
Consequences for Education and the Future Generation
According to experts’ conclusions, the educational system is gradually turning into a tool for preparing youth for service in the security structures and, at the same time, into a mechanism for shaping a generation loyal to the incumbent regime, whose political stability will depend on the government’s support.
It also notes the need for constant monitoring of trends to assess their impact on the educational environment and public opinion.
In the regional context, similar shifts have also been observed in Russia: after the full-scale invasion, the number of kindergartens implementing military programs has grown.
This trend requires vigilance from educational institutions and society to preserve the autonomy of education and ensure the development of critical thinking in future generations.
