Now truthfully, when I found this album, I was very tired haha. I gave it a listen, but I will give it another listen today with more prepared ears. The two groups who worked together on this record are both very solid in their own rights, and are both part of the Welsh music record label SAIN.

Mynediad am Ddim have some good records! Although, my favourite of theirs remains to be their debut WA MacSpredar (I would love some info on if that name actually means anything in Welsh, I doubt it. But am curious. Couldn't find much online)

My favourite song from them would probably have to be the epic folk-rock-opera, Madog, it sings about the (controversial) legend of a Welsh Prince named Madog ap Owain Gwynedd, whom set sail west and "discovered" America in the 1100s.

Sidan, while not my favourite of SAIN's reportoir of bands, is still equally cool. I do have a soft spot for their song Di Enw.

  1. I have a playlist here with mostly Welsh folk rock if you’re curious! Some very good songs in here. [Welsh Folk Rock](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4sJcEYlTDOMlARp2weAyyC?si=XhlGEWpSSs2uU7c0PC6_eA)

Edit: second listen has been beautiful, and the story telling if the last days of Christ (while I am not religious) results in a very cool concept album. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I might prefer this more than Sidan and Mynediad am Ddim on their own, their styles really mix well together. Perhaps miss-crediting them as “Goffrennwyd” was not a mistake, but an attempt at naming an entirely new album with the members from both bands.

  2. Wa MacSpredar is a joke name. Wa is a term used in the Bala area, and MacSpredar is muck spreader turned into a surname. They haven’t sung that song for many years, because the lyrics have dated poorly.
