Today, November 22, 31 people who were detained and convicted in Belarus were returned to Ukraine.

This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

“Today, an event was held between Ukraine and Belarus to return civilians. As a result of successful negotiations with the Belarusian side, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, on the instructions of the President of Ukraine, managed to return to Ukraine 31 citizens who were held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” the message says.

It is reported that women and men who were detained in Belarus and sentenced to various terms of imprisonment – from 2 to 11 years – were returned to Ukraine. The youngest Ukrainian woman released today is 18 years old, the oldest is 58 years old.

Among the released civilians are those suffering from serious illnesses, including oncology.

Recall, it was previously reported that Alexander Lukashenko pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens imprisoned in Belarus.
