Unfortunately there are too few like him still around and too many like her
Yea, that’s right, only Hitler wanted the war. Preach it king, we were victims 👑
Great guy, funny accent
to be old and based like this man should be everybodies goal. Nothing worse than an old fool.
She should shut up and show some respect, no respect for her elders especially when he’s giving some good advice
The lady convinced that her father just picked flowers through europe in the 1940’s, how delulu is that…
You can see how the lady was brainwashed by her father. She’s just full of shit
Extremely based gentlemen. Veterans know how horrible war is. Sadly their generation is almost all gone, and war in Europe is already brewing again.
we need to hear more from the elder genration in austria, germany, france, england, poland, ect. we need to understand their point of view from back then.
I remember one time my grandfather absolutely decked a mf out cold when he boasted about his “heroics” in the Balkans.
Based veteran austrian pacifist vs nazi woman with fantasies in her head
My grandfather spoke the same of the civil war, and he was “drafted” by the winning side and he was a rightwing guy. But I all know he was part of a mortars squad and probably caused a lot of destruction/casualties, he would never tell stories, all he said is all that should’ve been avoided, as no one in the terrain wanted to kill or get killed, but wars are fought in offices
My grandma, on the other side, never saw a pistol and spoke of him like this Austrian lady of her father, ironic
Women like her are why the AFD are as big as they are.
My grandfather was forced to fight at the eastern front in the last days of the war when the russians already had reached Germany. He got hit by shrapnel in both legs and a glanced blow to the head. He was 21 when this happened. He wasn’t in a the hitler youth nor in the nazi party. The Nazis came to my grantfathers farm and forced him at gun piont. He hated the nazis and war in general. He spoke out when ever he could. I am so thankful that he shared all this with me. I really miss the old man.
How recent is this video? Cause if very, then he is remarkably youthful!
He looks ***EXACTLY*** like my mum’s dad – right down to the checked suit and knitted vest (at least I assume that’s a vest) – same glasses, same moustache, he’s probably also wearing brown brogues. The only difference is that Grandpa never wore checked shirts, only ever plain white – and he always, ***ALWAYS*** wore a tie. Oh and he also preferred to wear a flat dogtooth-checked cap (well, he was from Leeds).
Also, what the fuck is going on with this Franz’s forehead…? Is this the Austrian equivalent of Big Auld Irish Head Syndrome…? His eyes seem to be about halfway down his face – he almost looks Norwegian.
Obviously the receding hairline doesn’t help matters…
kind of crazy that in 2025 thousand of young soldiers still die in war. In Europe.
“Well the talk to him” ???? Bitch wtf are you saying
In Austria there are two wolves:
– one is based and knows that the painter and all the apologists who came later are cunts
– the other unironically opens a museum about the holocaust and greets the visitors with a plaque that states “Austria was the first victim of Germany” and sprinkles a little of the” wermacht of gentlemen soldiers” myth just to make sure the bs scale is unmistakable.
The moral fortitude and acknowledgement of yourself it takes to look a camera lens in the eye and say “I was taken prisoner as member of an army of aggression” is so far beyond what most people could ever imagine. Almost every veteran can rightly tell you war is hell, even that soldiers as a group often do horrible things. But few are so capable as to admit their own personal faults, and to try to teach the rest of us the unpolished truth of it.
Wish more people alive today had the fortitude of people like him, and I truly hope if it ever comes to it I can match his example.
My one grandfather was drafted at the end of the war at the age of 14. He spent about two weeks on the front line in France and was then immediately taken prisoner of war.
When he talked about the war, it always sounded like a mischievous boy’s story. Until his death, he kept a small passport photo of Rommel and Hitler in his study. On the other hand, he was surprisingly tolerant of his grandchildren marrying dark-skinned foreigners or being gay. In his old age, he somehow became just a little boy again, playing pranks on everyone, and all his stories from the past were really funny.
My other grandfather, on the other hand, was older and fought in Russia during the war. He almost never talked about the war, and when he did, there was nothing funny about it. He never had a good word to say about Hitler either.
Some people have never been taught to shut the fuck up when people who know better are speaking. 🙄
>Last generation that saw actually combat and war and learned that war is a terrible, inhumane butchery you wont wish on you worst enemies and want to make sure the next generarions dont have to suffer through this, dies off
>following generations immidietly craves war again, only to be taught the same harsh lesson
>rines and repeat

What is with German-speaking people making faces when they disagree with someone???
This wasn’t what I was expecting. An intelligent gentleman.
Amazing that you can look back on it this way after being a PoW for 40 months.
Found the one Austrian who doesn’t downplay Austria’s role in all of it.
That lady kind of pisses me of

I love how this entitled woman keeps interrupting a gentleman who was actually there. And by love I mean despise.
Good for him telling the truth of the situation
Based
The savages are desperate for their own fascist
For a moment I though the title was ironical and he was about to engage in a rant [like this one](https://youtu.be/1PJkNZ30WV0?si=PA0XbdAKS3YxqJXK).
