Lithuanian President Rejects Ukraine Capitulation in US Peace Plan Talks

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said on Saturday that no peace initiative can be based on Ukraine’s capitulation, commenting on the U.S. plan to end the war.

According to Ukrinform, he spoke on the social network X after discussing the 28-point peace plan with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the NB8 leaders.

The Lithuanian leader stressed that Ukraine’s sovereignty, its territorial integrity and international law «are not up for discussion».

According to Ukrinform, EU leaders and leading European Union countries this weekend will hold a separate meeting during the G20 summit in South Africa to discuss the American «peace plan» and further steps to support Kyiv.

They also note that the United States is considering the 28-point plan in the context of the positions of global players – experts and analysts say so.
