  1. The Supreme Court is more likely to strike down the tariffs as illegal and refund the money to **checks notes** Walmart and friends who paid these *unfair* prices and totally didn’t pass the cost on to consumers.

  2. Congressional Republicans are pretty consistent in their philosophy that the government, under no circumstances, should help poor people.

    Now if Trump created an income threshold, like only people making over $1M a year get the checks, they’d be in favor.

  14. These tariffs refunds will go to groups like Cantor Fitzgerald. This group is owned by Howard Lutnick’s sons. Groups such as Cantor Fitzgerald bought a lot of companies tariff refunds rights as soon as trump started charging americans.

    Howard Lutnick is the commerce secretary.

    Im guessing he knew the tariffs are illegal, and with his inside knowledge he leaked this information to his family and friends in a very trumpy style.
