When there is survival needs people tends to bend/avoid the law. No jobs. Not enough customer (who use to rides taxis ) less tourist. More competition.
Oh it’s already time for the semi-annual Anne Berner bashing.
I’d rather they spend their efforts on fare gouging but I guess this is what we get.
K, I’ve never had issues with taxis no matter what origin the drivers were. Just saying, it’s not that it’s always total mayhem. Last I used taxi I took it from airport to home with my two teenage daughters. The driver was black, possibly Somali, and spoke native Finnish, I thought. He had moved to Finland at age 19. I couldn’t hear any accent. Really weird.
Now, my daughters are ethnic Finns and we have always spoken Finnish at home but they haven’t lived in Finland really ever and they do have an accent. I thought it’s funny the driver is black with no accent and then there’s two blonde blue eyes Finns with an accent.
