Raw sewage in rivers to go unchecked

  1. I’m just grateful Brexit means all that awful clean beach EU red tape will be gone, the UK can get back to the traditional holidaymaking of swimming around in raw sewage in the sea…
    Thanks Brexit!

  2. It’s ‘too expensive and complicated’ to monitor the rivers? That’s the argument? Just reading about this government is bad for my health, let alone the dangerous consequences of their actions for our citizens.

  3. Severn Trent are fucking shit and should have had their contracts revoked when they screwed their customers over after the 2007 floods

  4. Its not looking great is it? Even if by some miracle we get a new government who takes over, all the issues that the Tories have caused over the last decade are going to need several terms in power to get them fixed…and by then the Tories would come back, blame all the rubbish on labour and get back into power before most of this stuff is fixed.

  5. Happens a lot in Bournemouth. What’s actually worse is that it also flood the gardens sometimes too. Eg I was down there a few days ago and Wessex water were hosing the path down. You can tell it’s sewage as there are loads of wetwipes everywhere, pretty disgusting
