I am pro legalization for Marijuana. It should be strictly regulated like our neighbors.
But why am I not hearing anything about this ? Luxemburg wants to legalize Marijuana so why not Belgium ?
The government can make money, the people are probably going to be happier, this will have a huge impact on the illegal drug trade.
Why the fuck isn’t this occurring? I am a college student who occasionally loves to smoke a joint, but I’m not buying CBD, nor going to Holland in a coffee shop, not buying from a dealer.
Instead our government does nothing, meanwhile our youth are being killed by this synthetic shit available. I don’t get it.

Because we cant controll legal alcohol abuse and nictoine abuse already.
And if you do, please don’t half-ass it like we did. Proper legalization, proper regulation, proper taxation. All of them.
> de ouders van gebruikers zijn doodsbang
Ik denk niet dat ouders veel happier zouden zijn als hun kinderen normale weed gebruiken.
Synthetische shit is sowieso slechter ja, maar wel een domme titel van HLN. Nog nooit een ouder tegengekomen die blij zou zijn te horen dat hun kind drugs gebruikt.
Conservatives believe prohibition of substances causes a drop in demand. Conservatives have been in power for a long time
Because we’ve got too many boomers with [this mentality](https://c.tenor.com/rKD8Sduf65cAAAAC/mr-mackey-south-park.gif).
The legalization of cannabis is inevitable. But it can be a while if the current government doesn’t push it through before 2024 and if NVA enters the federal government again after the elections.
I find it ridiculous as well man
In my opinion, [this](https://www.nationalacademies.org/news/2017/01/health-effects-of-marijuana-and-cannabis-derived-products-presented-in-new-report) summary of a report from an institution with a very long name does a very good job at summarising the current medical knowledge surrounding the use of marijuana. I’m personally wholeheartedly against it and I don’t understand the appeal but also don’t understand the appeal of drinking myself into a coma so perhaps I’m in the minority here.
There is no big push to legalize it. Those who want to use it recreationally already use it and aren’t criminalized for it unless you hold a huge ammount.
As with almost anything in Belgium, people claim they are pro or contra things, but don’t care enough to actively push said subject.
Seems like there is only one subject for every generation to be willing to push against/for.
Because we kinda have a conservative government and it’s never really been a high priority list on the agenda’s of most of the political parties.
Honestly, they should’ve regulated this a long time ago. Regulated legalization is much better than this bs.
Won’t happen anytime soon; too many conservatives out there.
As a sidenote; don’t fall for the naturalistic fallacy. With the right regulatory framework, the pharma industry could certainly make synthetics for us far better than anything nature provides. We just won’t let them.
Based on talking about this to older generations;
-“Should we make weed legal?”
“No, it’s bad.”
-“Why do you say it’s bad?”
“Because it’s illegal.”
>The government can make money,
Not really an argument
>the people are probably going to be happier,
I really doubt that
>this will have a huge impact on the illegal drug trade.
no it wont.

>Why the fuck isn’t this occurring?
I dont care either way, but the benefits dont weigh up against the negatives+historical resitance against this. Give it a decade.
Listen, the BearCat was expensive and those lowly weed users and dealers need to feel it!
Bah, legalize every drug, tax them, put up mega-drugstores at the borders. Let every pothead, pill-popper and cocaine-connoisseur in Europe fill up that hole in the Federal budget.
conservatives party’s especially the one thats in a decline =cd&v
You know that if we are going to do this, we are going to do it badly, I don’t see any country that did this properly yet.
So for now, i’m happy that i’m not paying any taxes when i’m smoking a joint, and that I’m allowing friends of mine to make a living on that
Because Bart De Wever said that was “taboo”
People heavily vote for openly anti drug parties, so it’s a long way away.
Even worse: there is currently a red alert from DIMS, because there is a huge amount of synthetic thc circulating in
Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium.
CBD weed imported from Switzerland etc, sprayed with the synthetic garbage imported from China. It looks and smells identical to normal weed, but it’s toxic. This is a direct result of the criminalisation of weed.
Even from coffeeshops btw, I bought from a few in Eindhoven and they all tested positive on synthetic cannabinoids. This is outright dangerous, so please beware if you smoke.
This is another reason to legalise and regulate.
Inbev wants legalization considering how much money there is to be made (just look at the US states that have legalized), so once the lobbying gets well underway we’ll probably see full legalization.
I recently saw Seth Rogen roll a joint and he only used weed, whereas I remember seeing friends roll joints with a mixture tobacco and weed. Were they cheap asses or is this the standard and is Rogen just weird?

I’m for legalization for most of this stuff. It’s pretty much the only way to end the war on drugs. Legalize and regulate.
You are not supposed to have fun, you must work and suffer.
It will happen one way. After France and Holland (after rework of tolerance policy).
I don’t understand either.
Its illegality has never made it more dangerous than nowadays.
Dealers spray your weed with flavors to make it lemony, …
I am pretty sure some of them might spray them with other cheap chinese chemicals that are very bad for you.
I can’t buy it anymore. Unless it’s a lucky meeting with an old acquaitance that grow it themselves. Also the most common varieties are so strong and unbalanced that you’d need to drink alcohol (GABA) not to do a bad trip.
I think the real reasons are cultural. I’ve constantly had to remind young colleagues that regardless of what they thought. Smoke a joint at work, you’ll likely get fired. Get drunk at work, probably fine.
