Both are, in fact, issues, and we have the mental bandwidth to focus on both at the same time.
The argument these people make that “people are ignoring one issue to only to focus on another!” can be reversed and leveled against them. Ask a victim of the grooming gangs or the string of migrant rapes happening up and down the country if their lives have been negatively impacted more by billionaires or migration.
If your argument is “stop ignoring problem x to focus on problem y!” but your solution to that is to ignore problem y to focus on problem x, I don’t wanna hear it. We could, and should, tackle both.
The billionaires want the migrants for cheap labour.. they’ll also drive down your wages, and they prop up the massive housing market from demand.

It’s partly true but you should elaborate showing that it’s billionaires who mostly benefit from immigration and influence governments to allow high levels of immigration. Saturated labour markets and public services = £££ for the top brass

The same spirit that inspires greed inspires covetousness. Effectively coveting the money that other people have is just as evil as blaming immigrants for your lack of peace.
Blame is such a cop out. It’s easier just to blame someone else than to think through stuff, apply critical thinking and do some deconstruction of one’s beliefs.
We have become a poor country. The root cause here is poverty.
I’m not referring to financial or material poverty. We have more money and resources sloshing about this country than many other countries on this planet. What I’m referring to is mental, emotional, psychological poverty.
Mental poverty is where you’re dissatisfied with what you have and want more. Understand that we live in a culture and system which is constantly telling you that more is always better. Doesn’t matter what you have, more is always better. You have a house, but buy a bigger house and you’ll be happier. If you have a car, you will feel happier with a better car. If you don’t have enough money, just get a better job.
Understand capitalism and the free market are designed to create poverty. Our entire system is predicated on the profit incentive. We can go as far to state that capitalism has replaced Christianity as this country’s main religion. Instead of worshipping God, you worship money and profit. Get as much as you can, pay as little as you can get away with.
We’ve let go of such things as care and social security. The people who are actually struggling because they don’t have enough to live on are getting drowned out by other people who want more and more.
So we end up with a society just like we have right now, with billionaires who want more and more, and lots of migrants who want to move to this country because it is wealthier than their country, which of course drowns out the legitimate asylum seekers. Grifting and hustling have become more commonplace. It’s all about making a buck.
When you’re surrounded by people who want more and more and prices are going up just because, it gets harder and harder to maintain and keep what you have. Greed, which is what this all amounts to, is not a solid basis for society.

The recent brigading on this specific event and other stories surrounding the Daily yMail every time it pops up by Reform supporters and bots is off the charts.
It’s almost as if the Daily Mail is keen to portray itself and its ultra-wealthy ownership in a popular light, which would have absolutely nothing to do with its proposed takeover bid for the Telegraph which is currently going through government scrutiny. Or, indeed, the Mail’s continued refusal to run stories critical of the funding of Reform and other right-wing UK political and activist groups.
Anyway. Carry on and fuck the Mail.
And the Mail’s owners are looking to takeover the Telegraph, that’s not a thrilling prospect.
Although it’s a marginally better option than some seriously dodgy Islamic money pit seizing control.
I work with a guy who’s from Africa and strict Muslim, came over afew years ago, he’s told me gays and trans should be beheaded and all women should cover up… I wish this was a lie
