“Last night, the European Commission approved the Greek government’s action plan for the payment of agricultural subsidies,” Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said on Thursday in statements to Open TV.

As he noted, “we were expecting it and it was something that was being questioned by many sides.”

Regarding the payment schedule for agricultural subsidies up to the end of the year, Hatzidakis stressed: “I estimate that in about 10 days from today, the advance payment of the basic aid will be made, which is 70%, as is the case every year. Subsequently, with the necessary checks, the remaining 30% will be paid, based on the provisions of the regulations.”
