OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The City of Omaha will be holding free trolleys along the future streetcar route next weekend.
The City is partnering with Ollie the Trolley to run free trolleys that closely follow the proposed streetcar route from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 29.

The route will avoid areas currently facing construction so the trolleys can maneuver.
The trolleys will also make stops at or near where the streetcar is planned to, so users can get a feel for how the streetcar will operate.
Discounted parking will also be in effect that day at the following parking garages:
Blackstone Garage off 38th and Harney Streets Midtown Crossing garage at 31st Avenue and Farnam15th and Douglas Garage10th and Jackson Garage
The City also plans to roll out a “Business Passport Program” in early December to be in the running to win prizes for visiting businesses along the streetcar route.
“It is so important that we continue to support our small, local businesses along the future streetcar route,” Mayor John Ewing said. “These businesses are what will continue to make the corridor a vibrant, individual experience for visitors and locals alike once the project is complete in 2028. Come join me in some holiday fun!”
