  1. Inflation Reduction Act was a massive subsidy to domestic energy manufacturing. Entirely reasonable to criticize such subsidies, but it is exactly what China did. So we decided to let China own these technologies then decided to not use them because China owns them… Circular reasoning. “Reasoning” is a generous description – more like a circular firing squad.

  2. Wind and Sunshine are free, and they free us from a costly and caustic addiction to fossil fuels which are the opioids of energy and they are run by cartels and dealers as ruthless as the kind that push fentanyl and drugs!

  3. Wasn’t the US trying to developed domestic capacity for clean energy technologies through measures like the inflation reduction act  until that was cancelled?

    Under Biden the US was making a credible effort to catch up with China and rebuild its manufacturing sector. It was working brilliantly until Trump and his MAGA clowns attacked the US domestic clean energy and electric car sectors. Now they cry foul because of their own stupidity. You can’t make this shit up.

  8. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and OPEC have been doing what they accuse China of since before I was born. (I’m over 50 for reference) IS foreign and domestic policy has been controlled by SA to some degree for so long that people have just accepted it as normal.

  17. They really are losing it. China is switching to those things for its own national security. Else it has to have long pipelines or trade routes through difficult countries. Plus it also recognises human induced climate change as the real problem it is.

    This is like saying “China is doing better than us, we need the DOJ to investigate why, because it must be criminal!”

  19. The wind turbines we use in the west are produced in either Europe (Vestas, Siemens) or USA (GE) so how are they dependent on China??

  21. They can waste American taxpayer dollars to have the DOJ investigate China all they want. After all, that seems to be their thing. Wasting taxpayer money on stupid partisan investigations. Yes, most people with IQs in the single digits even know that American DOJ has no authority or jurisdiction over a sovereign nation like China… But here we are 🤦‍♂️

    China is exporting more clean energy than we are exporting fossil fuels. It shouldn’t be China. It should be us. But this nation and it’s racist, misogynistic, and not overly educated populous decided to keep electing a guy over people who were trying to do just that.

    They can scapegoat the non-White yellow man all they want. That also seems to be their thing. Scapegoating anybody who’s not a white Christian for their own failures. But it’s not China’s fault that America is dumb enough to keep electing a guy who wants to give the future over to China on a silver platter! That’s not their problem!
    It’s as if it’s the turn of the century, 100 years ago, the whole world has moved onto cars, and Trump is still trying to get everybody to buy American made horse carriages. And they have the balls to blame China when they were dumb enough to believe that pitch?
    I love how the personal responsibility people never take personal responsibility for their own stupid votes and actions and their own failures in life.
