Latvian beach volleyball duo, Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Samoilova, made history on November 23rd, winning gold medals at the World Beach Volleyball Championship in Australia.
The final was decided in three sets, with the Latvian pair defeating Americans Taryn Brasher and Kristen Nuss 2-1 (21:15; 15:21 15:11).
The decisive set started as an even contest, but Graudiņa/Samoilova gradually piled on the pressure, becoming stronger and stronger as the match progressed. Remarkably, they only lost one set in the entire championship, underlining just what great form they were in.
