WANA (Nov 24) – Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Al Busaidi, emphasized the depth of historical relations between the two countries and announced the continuation of discussions on regional developments and Iran’s peaceful nuclear program during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart.
Following the visit of Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to Muscat, Al Busaidi posted a message on X early Monday, underlining the strong historical and cultural ties between Tehran and Muscat and highlighting both sides’ willingness to support cooperation across various fields.
In another part of his message, Al Busaidi noted that he and the Iranian minister exchanged views on recent regional and global developments, including issues related to Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
Iran’s Foreign Minister arrived in Muscat yesterday, leading a diplomatic delegation. Hours later, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the meeting, stating that the two sides discussed ongoing efforts to reduce tensions in the region.
