South Korean President Lee Jae-myung highlighted his hopes for reunification of the Korean Peninsula on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in South Africa over the weekend, despite North Korea’s silence on his recent overtures and continued weapons testing.
Lee explained his unification policy to the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the Turkish state newswire Anadolu Agency during the two-day summit in Johannesburg starting Saturday.
