Greta Thunberg banned from Venice after activists dye Grand Canal bright green in protest

1. Climate activist [Greta Thunberg](https://uk.news.yahoo.com/greta-thunberg-banned-venice-activists-160636909.html) was temporarily banned from Venice and fined after she and fellow Extinction Rebellion activists dyed the Grand Canal green in a protest over the weekend.

2. Lol! Anyone who has been to Venice will see this as an improvement in water quality.

   That place is sooooo polluted it is an enviromental hazard on it’s own.

   But sure.. food grade dye for one day is the problem…

   (For those who don’t know the area, ai have family in that region. The rate of cancers are abominably higher than anywhere else in Italy* AND, together with Milan area, it is THE most polluted area in Europe)
