IMO if they freeze the war at the conflict line as it stands, let the ceasefire transpire for a good 60 days, then negotiate the trillion $ damages for the remaining land that russia holds. Lets face it the damage theyve cost is immense and it will be 50 years minimum before russia pays a dime & frankly the method they pay can ultimately be finangled outside of any formal deal. Whereas formally they can negotiate no reparations in exchange for the land and then in turn EU can tax any future trade with 100% tarrif and that be used for EU managed restoration projects within Ukraine.
In my mind if the ceasefire holds for 60+ days that the russians will basically collapse, i don’t believe they are capable of staying put at which I think there will be so much internal drama in moscow that it would be favorable.
And since we know russia has a hard time to honor any ceasefire it wouldnt be off the table for ukraine to swoop in and snatch sections back up.
But fuck one can dream, getting so sick of this shit show.

I’d make the offer of everything Russia asked for, in exchange for Russian handing over Putin to Ukraine. He needs to show he’s willing to sacrifice for the motherland like everyone else.
