  2. Love my Zabka. I visit them everyday, it’s a core part of my social life.

  3. This is good place. Life saver sometimes. And much safer than churches (there is a lot of those too).

  4. HOLLY FUCK, I WAS THIS SECOND OLD WHEN I REALISED THAT THERE IS A FACE IN THE LOGO!! I thought it was just an underline…

  5. this one looks like żabka in Mińsk Mazowiecki on Wyszyńskiego. am i right?

  6. That’s what they want you to think… they actually see you!

  7. I was today years old (and have lived almost my entire life in Poland) when I realised that the letters ‘ab’ represent frog’s eyes.

  9. On my first trip to Krakow last year I visited these a lot. Had to embarrassingly ask for Pepto Bismol (is this available there?). The clerk had no idea what I was talking about and gave me something called Wegiel instead. I’m also pretty sure I looked like an American dickhead cause I once mistakenly cut a line that was outside the store.

  10. You gotta appreciate Zabkas .

Especially when you run outta toilet paper on a Sunday evening

  11. their expansion policy is “when you walk out from one store, you have to see the entrance to the next one”

  12. There were 2 żabka’s literally 200 meters away from each other in my city , but one closed down unfortunately

  13. yea especialy when half of the employes are smoking crack in the magazine

  14. Visited Poland from the UK in March (Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków, Zakopane), I honestly loved żabka, little stores like this in England have very little, especially as a vegan but these places are ridiculously good, even in more remote places like Zakopane!

  15. I’m not Polish but I live in Poland. I don’t really like zabka that much. It feels like super invasive foreign investment that smothers out local shops. Since they are everywhere and so dominant you are restricted to what they stock where as you could have some diversity with local shops.

On the other hand, local shops closing at 18:00, not operating on sundays and holidays… kind of put themselves in this position.

    Mixed feelings

  16. Katowice? Frog shops are almost as common as dog shit on the sidewalk.

  17. I remember when Żabka’s ha d their own distinctive logo, when i see it i think Żabka. THE REDESIGN IS BAD, when i look at it i think Tymbark.
