On hold over an hour to Aer Lingus 🙁

  1. I was on hold with them for 7 hours back in February, so you probably only have a few more hours to wait. Worst customer service ever. They cancelled a flight on me and never informed me. Only for me checking Flight Radar the night before I was due to fly I would never have known. They promised me a manager would call me, but none ever did.

  2. Is there not a service where you can hang up but still be on hold and when they pick up on the other side your phone rings and you get talking to them.

    Not sure if it’s in Ireland but there is a service that does just that

  3. I was the same. Gave up and tried Twitter direct message. Had an argument with their stupid chat bot. Now waiting on an actual human to reply.. I will let you know how long this takes later.

    Update: requested an agent at 13:54pm and at 15:59pm still no reply.

    Update 2: 17:43pm still No reply. I’ve tweeted them publicly and called them out as I’ve been trying to contact them all week and I’m frustrated.

    Update 3: 11:20am the next day and no response to dm or tagged tweet

  4. I had this over several days during lockdown trying to move flights. Best advice would be to ring early in the morning. You can sometimes get through in 15 mins that way instead of 6 hours

  5. I rang them once at 10pm. Straight through to a nice American lady. Problem sorted in 4 minutes

  6. I was trying to book a flight the other day on the website. Got to the end and it came up with an error. Twice. So decided to call them. After 45 mins and 2 hang ups I finally got a guy on the line and he goes to book me the flight but in that time the flights went from about 400 to over 1000 USD. I hung up and booked the same flights for 400 on Flight Hub.
    Don’t waste you time unless you really have to.

  7. What company or government agency is anyone able to contact? It’s not possible to contact anyone these days. No accountability, and why would they when they can get away with it?
