You try to build anything decent in this country and a bunch of NIMBYs come out of the woodwork to shit on it
Rail lines need to be expanded all the commuter towns around Dublin are growing quickly.
It’s gotta get done. No two ways around it. Feeble opposition by cranky old bastards be damned.
Whats amazing is that the group’s aren’t event in agreement what they are against.
One group is against pedestrians bridges, while another group is calling for a pedestrian bridge.
Read that earlier. Hilarious if only these twats weren’t actually catered to. Should be no leave to appeal to ABP for these infrastructure projects especially when they are not encroaching on private property. The electrification of that line and removal of level crossings will benefit thousands of people on a daily basis.
NIMBY vermin.
Having three cycle and pedestrian bridges spanning this part of the canal would “completely detract” from the landscape, she said.
These people really don’t want anything remotely green do they? Absolute fuckers.
Basically the whole M3 corridor rely on M3 Parkway for one, before you even get to Dunboyne.
Maynooth and Leixlip are very densely populated, and you’ll struggle to get standing room after Confey at which point the train then has to go through D15, the Navan Road townlands and Drumcondra.
