Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday reached Fort Campbell in Kentucky, where he, Second Lady Usha Vance and their children spent the afternoon serving an early Thanksgiving meal to US Army soldiers stationed at the base. The vice president is marking the holiday with troops and their families, accompanied by US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll.
The Vance children also pitched in, with young Mirabel Vance winning hearts online for taking charge of a very important assignment — ensuring every soldier’s plate had enough butter.
Vance met service members at the dining facility, helped serve meals and interacted with troops before delivering remarks scheduled for later in the afternoon. His visit is part of the administration’s Thanksgiving outreach to military communities.
