Minister for Foreign Affairs Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir welcomed Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, upon his arrival in the secure area at Keflavík Airport this morning.
As the accompanying photos show, the two appeared to enjoy a cordial meeting.
Rutte will hold meetings today with Icelandic officials, including Þorgerður Katrín, Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir, and Þórunn Sveinbjarnardóttir, Speaker of Parliament.
