  1. As someone abroad I mean, that makes sense, why would you allow someone to buy it for £3.5 a week?

  2. So people who move abroad and therefore don’t pay UK tax or NI are getting shirty because they’ll have to pay £1,000 a year for their NI, to maintain their State Pension record, whereby they’ll get £11,973 a year in retirement…

As a UK resident paying full NI and tax, contributing to the country, let me on behalf of all the people here doing the same, respond to this whinge by saying *kindly fuck off you free-loading twats*.

  3. Bloody migrants on their ferries and average sized passenger jets.

  4. The you can pay still on the old
System till April seems crazy. Most thst can afford it
Will pay several years off even if they take a loan, rather than the new £1k a year

  5. My wife has just had to top up her NI contributions due to taking “time off” when our children were born. We are UK residents who have both paid tax & NI all our working lives. Stuff em

  6. High time this was done, and people will still pay it as it’s a phenomenal deal. I worked abroad and took advantage of the Class 2 NICs and I always thought it was daylight robbery that I was able to do it.

  7. They haven’t been “slammed” at all ffs, coffin dodging immigrants

  8. I do know Brits in Hong Kong that will be upset by this as they technically didnt leave Britain, Britain left them when they handed the place over to the Chinese and is now asking them for 1k for the privilege of being abandoned lol.
