  1. This has a hell of a subtext.

Almost certainly unintentional given it’s from the guardian.

  2. “My body my choice” until it comes to who supports your kid, at which point its the government (i.e. tax payers) who have to fund your choice.

  3. The artist has been _incredibly_ kind to Badenoch in this comic.

  4. Ok… but shouldn’t this be aimed at the parents and not the kids? And why should it be acceptable for other members of the public to pay to raise others children?

  5. Bah, he’s clearly old enough to be supporting himself as a full time chimney sweep. That’s what I did with my kids!
May all 3 of them RIP.

  6. Throw down your ubelical noose an let me climb back in – Nirvana.
The Nevermind album cover also springs to mind.
Only capitalism does this to people lol.
    Aint no joyride.

  7. need to raise a kid for at least 18 years, and every decade some shit hits the economy throwing people into poverty. Certainly don’t think its reasonable to expect parents to predict tidal waves in the economy.

  8. The fertility rate in the UK is like 1.4. We have an ageing population and we are sleepwalking into a bleak future where the old will massively outnumber the abled young. If anything we should be empowering people financially to have more kids. Who cares if some of your taxes goes to someone else’s kids, it’s the same concept as your taxes paying for schools, or your taxes paying for children’s hospitals and maternity wards. It’s called living in a society.
