Madeleine wore the Connaught for her sister Princess Victoria’s wedding (what is pictured).
Her Aunt, Princess Christina, wore the Connaught Tiara for her own wedding! So it has been a wedding tiara.
Queen Sofia didn’t wear the Mellerio shell tiara to her wedding; she wore the Hanover tiara which is the same one that her her daughter in law Letizia wore.
Poltimore, easily
How often, or for what occasions, do they make new tiaras? Looking through all these stunning photos just brought that question to mind.
The fringe tiaras are my favourite tiaras. It reminds me of Anastasia (1997).

Digging that cameo tiara
You can go wrong with Queen Mary fringe Tiara.

Spencer tiara is so beautiful and the Swedish diamond tiara too. Have seen it multiple times in CP Victoria.
You really can’t go wrong ✨
I really love 1 and 5. 15 is really interesting with the cameos, I’ve never seen that one before!
I don’t think that first photo is the Russian fringe tiara. here is a good write up of it from the court jeweller:

They’re all so gorgeous.
I like the two spikey fringe versions. the Vladimir and the Russian, but I also love the unusual Olgilvy pearl tiara and the Cameo.
And the Spencer, certainly is a timeless classic, as is the York.
The Spencer tiara is my favourite. I feel bad for Sophie. Hers really isn’t as nice as the others.
Oh I love all of them. The two fringes are just spectacular, but how can one choose?
I will always love the drama and height of the Poltimore. And will always feel sorry for Sophie and her “spare parts” tiara.
I love the Vladimir fringe and the York
The Belgiums tie for my favorite
That first one is hypnotic
The Poltimore is my ideal tiara but I an entranced by the uniqueness of the Swedish Cameo tiara.Â
I love tiara posts! Princess Madeleine of Sweden actually wore a “modern fringe” tiara for her wedding, gifted to her by her parents, with flowers at the base.
