Every other comment on the [map I posted yesterday](https://i.redd.it/bv5revsl00091.png) said it should have been as a % of GDP, so I made one as a % of GDP.
Calm down Greece.
Our combined defense spending is on par with China but we waste it on duplication and inefficiency. A European army would be a win for the taxpayer first and foremost. A NATO based on continental blocs ([as proposed by US Democrats](https://youtu.be/WDILnjT0I-4?t=19)) would strengthen the alliance and allow it to focus on China as well. Finland and Sweden joining is a step in the right direction but we have a long way to go.
I thought Georgia would be higher, considering their recent history.
Most aren’t committing the agreed 2% of GDP military as agreed with NATO in 2006…
It’s wrong for Switzerland. Social spending on military personnel is not included in the Swiss military’s regular budget, but should be included accrding to NATO’s accounting standards
Are yachts military expenditure?
I like how chill the irish are, they don’t give a shite up there.
Watch it shoot up through the roof in 2022 and 2023
Lithuania and Latvia already pledged 2.5 this year, Poland 3% next year
Iceland’s military spending: *insert void here*
Not for long lol, that’s gonna change a lot in the next years
