British vigilantes recorded planning ‘Operation Overlord’ to target Channel migrants

British vigilantes who [have been filming themselves slashing migrant boats](https://inews.co.uk/news/british-vigilantes-slash-small-boats-french-coastline-4050244?ico=in-line_link) attempting to cross the Channel have discussed a new plot to misdirect police and send groups of British men to join their efforts in France.

   Daniel Thomas, Ryan Bridge and Elliott Stanley – three men linked to the Raise the Colours group, which spearheaded efforts to put England flags up across the country – were overheard making plans to carry out and document a new trip to the French coastline under the banner of “Operation Overlord”.

   They also spoke of aspirations to recruit an army of men to their efforts to take illegal Channel crossings into their own hands.

   *The i Paper* previously revealed how these vigilantes had travelled to French beaches where they filmed themselves [attempting to destroy a small migrant boat](https://inews.co.uk/news/british-vigilantes-slash-small-boats-french-coastline-4050244?ico=in-line_link) and to Paris, where they filmed themselves harassing black homeless men, including [asking one if they were from Africa](https://inews.co.uk/news/british-vigilantes-film-themselves-harassing-migrants-paris-4057567?ico=in-line_link).

   The group have repeatedly called for other men to join them and “take a stand” against migrants, including appealing to football hooligans, known as “firms”.

   They have also advertised in footage shared to social media that they were planning a significant event which they have referred to as “Operation Overlord” – the codename for the Allies’ invasion of occupied Europe during the Second World War, beginning on D-Day, 6 June 1944.

   The war-winning Operation Overlord was the largest seaborne military operation in history. It was considered a complete success and was conducted in absolute secrecy.

   Over a fish and chip pub lunch, close to the homes of two of the men, on Monday 17 November, the vigilantes’ version of “Operation Overlord” was openly discussed by the trio.

   In sight and earshot of other customers in the pub – where pints start at £4.90 – the men plotted to move large numbers of British men across the English Channel on a specific date.

   A pub-goer who overheard the conversation approached *The i Paper* with concerns after recognising the men’s faces from previous coverage.

   “Thomas got his phone out and showed the others a Tommy Robinson demo,” the source said, referring to a march organised by the prominent far-right leader. “I heard [Thomas] say, ‘if you look at the number of people here, and if you take out all the women and children…’ They only wanted men involved.”

18. The idea is almost a good one except these gangs in France will have easy access to hardcore weapons. and after the first or second successful slashing of a boat on a beach, these guys will end up face down in a pool of their own blood.
