This view of Spanish history is more widespread than you might think.
I vividly remember a history textbook from high school that literally stated the Spanish had conquered al-Andalus. This implied that the Moors had never occupied Spain, but rather the other way around.
Apparently, colonialism is only considered bad when perpetrated by Europeans. I naturally tried to discuss this with my history teacher, which she vehemently refused, declaring there was simply nothing to discuss. And no, she wasn’t just a teacher at a village school, she researched in historical city archives and taught on the side.
At that moment, I realized just how dogmatic and subjective, almost activist, historical research in general can be.
It’s almost as if it was built on top of a church.
And we can do it again.
Run it back

And how did the Muslims become the majority in Spain I wonder?
Okay, I guess there is a positive feature of christianity after all.
Good job Spain, keep up the good work.
The majority of Al Andalus population was Christian. It is only at the tail-end of the caliphate –when the Christian Kingdoms started to push southwards– when Al Andalus started to become majority muslim.
And that’s not talking about 80% muslim. You probably need to wait until the Berber Empires or even Granada to see those percentages.
You genocide, we genocide back. It’s only fair.
Germany in 1942, before the lands of Germany were occupied by barbarians from the east and west.

Hmmm, Islam only formed in ~~8~~ 600AD, I wonder what could have caused Iberia to become Muslim rather than Christian from the Roman Empire?

I miss the good old days of Europeans committing genocide.
Me when I lie so clearly that a middle school student learning Spanish could disprove me.
This guy doesn’t even ragebait that well. At least make reference to Pablo actually being 70% Arab to troll him ffs.
That map was accurate for about 20 years, by the way, and in 20 years they didn’t convert 80% of the population.
By the way, Mr Muslim, can you explain this church mosaics that were under the Cordoba Mosque?

Bro really think Spain was a thing 600 years ago lol
There is not such thing as genocide on muslims, only selfdefence
It wasn’t a genocide, but after seeing that post maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if it was
