A man from Lancashire has been banned from all Tesco, Co-op, Sainsburys, B&M, TK Maxx, Iceland, Booths and Trespass stores in the UK.

Christopher Moran was jailed and slapped with a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for offences committed throughout Preston and South Ribble.

He was described by officers as a ‘prolific shoplifter’ following a ‘sustained’ spree.

Moran appeared at Preston Magistrates Court on Thursday (November 27) and pleaded guilty to 10 counts of theft.

He was jailed for 12 weeks and given a CBO lasting until 2030 which also bans him from areas of Preston and Penwortham.

Police said Moran is already in prison serving a separate 52 week sentence for other offences.

The CBO bans Moran from:

A force spokesperson said: “CBOs are used to target individuals who are repeat demand generators and have been identified as often engaging in criminality in a specified area.

“They are given to people who have been convicted of an offence with the aim to prevent them engaging in further criminal behaviour.

“Operation Vulture is the force’s campaign to tackle shoplifting across Lancashire.”
