This article (and accompanying video) is about an Moldovan autonomous region, [Gagauzia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gagauzia?wprov=sfti1#), being in political deadlock due to the removal of the region’s governor. The former governor, Evgheia Gutul, is a pro-Russian figure and had been arrested for breaking laws concerning campaign finance. Her pro-Russia views are either shared throughout the region or others, especially the young, are unengaged with politics.
