  1. I remember back in the day when twitter use to be kind of cool.

  2. It’s a difference I can feel for sure… this place has gone to shit.

  3. Wow, who knew that talking with humans was what we like to do? We might be a bunch of jerks, but it’s still better than talking with robots.

  4. I’m a Redditor now because of Musk buying Twitter.

  5. Heavy heavy block use is essential nowadays on here, it’ll be overrun with bots before you even know what happened

  6. r/Conservative is about to get 10 more human redditors and 10,000 more bots

  7. Twitter is basically ruined at this point but Reddit isn’t much better

  8. Every time I briefly look at Twitter I’m reminded what an absolutely vile cesspit of disinformation it’s become.

Where I live there was a hideous car vs bus head-on accident a few weeks ago with the bus driver trapped in the bus and burned to death. Immediately on Twitter there were all these right wing accounts “asking questions” and implying that the accident was caused by cycle lanes (the road was slightly narrowed 5 years ago to make them) and blaming the fire and death on the electric bus’s batteries.

It was later confirmed that the accident was caused by the car driver speeding on wet roads and passing on the wrong side of the road. The fire started in the car’s petrol engine and the EV batteries didn’t catch fire and are not even situated in the front of the bus.

That vile response to a tragedy, just to spread pro-fossil fuel, anti-EV, anti-cycling disinformation was the last straw for me.
