Meanwhile, our fabricated CPI data claims inflation is "only" 3%.

  1. Fifty two bucks for two bowls and drinks is just too much. I know prices went up everywhere but this feels like Chipotle pushing limits.

  2. > Reick said they ordered two bowls with double meat and guacamole, along with two soft drinks, for what was supposed to be a hearty but affordable post-pump meal.

This guy went in and knowingly ordered a meal that would appear high cost for 2 people so he could create “content”

I just opened the app and couldn’t get it to go to $50 unless I ordered double meat of the most expensive meat (carne asada), the large guac or 2 of the small, and 2 large soft drinks

Edit: I’m not going to reply to any comments but when I get chipotle for 2, it’s less than half of what this guy paid but that’s because I get normal portions, maybe 1 cup of guac, and no soft drinks.

  3. One day ill be able to afford the queso and the guac. Until then ill keep telling myself it doesn’t taste good.

  4. Americans need to boycott these places. The stock price is all Chipotle cares about. If sales dip, stock price will dip, and the company will fail or change its ways.

  5. Everyone forgets 10 years ago Chipotle had Salmonella outbreak. Never been won’t ever go.

    Use your $ BILLS WISELY!

  6. Chipotle has always been over priced. Now they are ridiculously over priced especially for what you get.

  7. Article says he got guac but video says he didn’t. Which is it?

  8. Maybe don’t order that or go there. Seems like rage bait.

  9. I didn’t buy fast food often to begin with, because I’m not a big fan in general and try to choose healthier stuff, but it’s out of my budget range now. The only time I’d consider buying any is if I’m on the road, which I almost never am. Just can’t afford it anymore.

  10. Its not inflation its corporate greed telling you its inflation

  11. It’s $100 for a family 20 piece meal at Popeyes

  12. Chipotle chicken bowl is literally $9.80, how does he possibly get up to $52 unless he goes, x2 meat, queso, guacamole, probably the expensive meat

  13. Maybe I was undercharged, wife and I recently had chipotle, first time in a year or so. Two bowls, extra protein on both, guac on both. No drinks, total was $27. I wasn’t too upset with that. Not sure how he got to $52

  14. My burrito there is like $10.10 or something. I get it weekly.

  15. I don’t live in the states, but literally every time I go back I go to Chipotle. My burrito and water is still under $12. For the amount of food you can get – that is incredible. Was just there 4 days ago, same thing

  16. Haven’t been to Chipotle for maybe a year. Now I definitely am not going back

  17. If a place is too expensive then vote with your wallet & shop elsewhere. I know some areas are more scarce than others but more often than not, there are choices.

  18. Seems weird. If i’m splurgin a bit and get a single meat bowl with guac+chips+a regular fountain drink it’s $17-$18

  19. Crashes out?

Can I get this in English? I assume it did not involve a drive thru situation.

  20. What the bell? My family of 4 adults can eat at our local dine in restaurant for less than $80. 6 of us for around $100, and that’s alcohol and steak

  21. I’m not saying chipotle is wrong for these prices or inflation doesn’t exist, but double meat and guac + living in California. Most likely he lives in the bay or LA and as someone who lives in California I’m not surprised that it was roughly 26/person. Double meat takes your bowl to like $16 + guac is like another 2 + tax and you’re looking at 20-21 for the just the bowl. Drink is probably like 5.

Double meat kills honestly, without it this would have been $40

  22. *He found the price hike ludicrous, given that it cost around “11 bucks” for a burrito bowl just three years ago.*

That’s a bullshit statement. A burrito bowl with any of the meat options and guacamole wasn’t $11

  23. “Crashes out”? That is a term used for prisoners who escape from prison.

  24. I will say, you can go into Chipotle right now, get a chicken burrito bowl with free extra rice and beans, and buy an avocado from the store for $10. Dude got all the overpriced shit, like probably steak x2, guacamole x2, drinks ×2. I could order five of my meals for the price of his, have more calories and similar protein due to the extra beans, and, say you only have to buy two avocados, you have $5 more to get you to $52. Put it in your pocket, or leave it in the tip jar.

Companies will always try to do this. It’s also on the customer not to mindlessly upcharge themselves for disproportionate gain. Buy a Subway sandwich, don’t get the $3 fun size bag of chips. Go to the grocery store and buy a $3 family size bag instead.

People often pay for comfort and convenience, and get upset when the bill comes.

  25. I am really trying to figure out where this guy lives and/or how true this is. I go probably once a week and my meal is only $16 per person for burrito, bag of chips and soft drink. It’s definitely become more expensive but a quarter pounder meal at McDonald’s is $12. So Chipotle is not that crazy.

  26. There’s a Chipotle near my home in central PA that just opened late last year. There’s almost nobody ever in there besides the employees. Terrible food at ridiculously high prices is just one reason why.

  27. I frequent there a bowl is about $12-13…what terrible math is going on here 😂

  28. Awwww but yet he keeps eating it. Is this another stupid video of someone bitching in their car?
