    But the panicked soldier has no helmet, no body armour – not even a load-bearing vest. He is killed in an instant.

    It is a scene repeated across the Lyman frontline, according to soldiers in the area – one that underscores the Russian command’s apparent disregard for the lives of its own troops.

    “It’s a new trend. Especially if you compare it to last year, when there were practically no similar cases,” Igor Komok, deputy commander of Ukraine’s 2nd mechanised battalion of the 66th separate mechanised brigade, told The Telegraph.

    “We can say they are being forced to fight without the armour they need. They must do it.”

  11. The disgusting thing (Russia-disgusting) is that they are basically being sent to use up Ukrainian bullets. They’re literally being used as meat.

    Russia will not stop until every man in Russia is dead and they do not have anybody to throw at those bullets. Not for the defence of Russia, because this is an invasion. But because the people at the top know that if they admit loss now, they’re in the craps. It was all for nothing. A ton of soldiers will come back to their villages and tell people “Those countries out there? They’re not the shitholes, WE are the shithole!”

    And all the paperwork will come up for a lot of elite scumbags – not just Russian, but worldwide.

    Never mind the whole war economy.

    The Russians put up with a lot, but this would trigger their next revolution. Plus, I can’t imagine that anybody other than Putin knows the nuke codes whether the nukes work or not.

  12. US probably doesn’t mind prolonging the war to destroy as much oil production capacity while coming up with a reason to take Venezuala’s oil fields to become the world’s energy super power.

    What you see in the news is checkers. What happens in the background is chess.
