  1. ***The Telegraph reports:***

Volodymyr Zelensky’s former chief of staff said he will go to the front line and fight against Russia, just hours [after resigning](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/11/28/zelenskys-chief-of-staff-andriy-yermak-resigns-over-scandal/) from his position amid a corruption probe.

Andriy Yermak, the president’s closest confidant, sent a message to an American journalist, saying: “I am going to the front and am prepared for any reprisals.” He apologised if he could no longer answer her calls.

Mr Yermak resigned on Friday night after increasing political pressure came to a head when his [home was raided](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/11/28/zelenskys-chief-of-staff-raided-by-anti-corruption-officers/) by anti-corruption investigators in connection with a £76m [embezzlement scandal](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/11/19/zelensky-chief-of-staff-corruption-scandal-golden-toilet/) in the energy sector.

He denies wrongdoing and has not been officially named as a suspect, but told the New York Post’s Caitlin Doornbos: “I’ve been desecrated and my dignity hasn’t been protected. I don’t want to create problems for Zelensky; I’m going to the front.”

It is a remarkable fall from grace for the aide who was expected to be sent to the US this weekend to help lead peace plan negotiations.

Mr Yermak’s critics described him as a hatchet man who exploited his power to crush political rivals and held undue influence over Mr Zelensky, who had faced mounting calls to sack his closest ally in government.

  2. I’m not sure if sending him to the front is the best thing to do because he’s probably going to call Russia or a Russian ally for help and snitch to them.

  4. It’s time for him taste some of the bussificatuon going in Ukraine

  5. *translates to “I’m getting a new identity, shalom Tel Aviv”

  6. lol what a bunch of twats you lot are. This dude wants to redeem himself by going to the front, knowing he will likely be killed and all you guys can do is make jokes about him getting new identities and accusing him of being a russian spy.

  7. Good to see The Telegraph is observing the highest journalistic reporting standards:

Title: Zelensky’s chief of staff goes to front line after resigning over corruption scandal

Literally the first sentence of the article: Zelensky’s former chief of staff **said he will go** to the front line

  8. If he does *actually* go to the front, in harm’s way, I will regard that as an honourable act. After the Gallipoli debacle, Churchill did the same.

Few high-level political figures are willing to put their arses on the line.

  9. You can take Ukraine out of the Soviet Union but you can’t take the Soviet Union out of Ukraine

  10. If Kyrylo Budanov is a possible replacement.

Is this not something he would have known about, if Nabu could figure this out?

  11. I do not have enough information to pick up and cast a stone. At least he stepped down from his position because of the controversy.

  12. Going to the front is a good way to insulate him from further investigation and arrest, thereby preventing him to speak. If needed he can die a heroic death before Nabu gets to him

  13. Corrupt pro-Russian representatives of conservative circles in the West turn a blind eye to the crimes of Russians in Ukraine because they receive significant shadow rewards for this.
