Croatia has officially gone shopping mad, with this year’s Black Friday sending tills ringing louder than ever. New figures from the Tax Administration reveal that shoppers unleashed more than €106.8 million in just one day — a surge of 5.5% compared to last year.

And if that wasn’t enough, Croatians also fired off over 5.1 million receipts, proving that the bargain-hunting mania shows no signs of slowing.

According to fiscalisation data published on Saturday, retailers across the country (excluding vehicle and motorcycle sales) processed a whopping 5,068,773 receipts on November 28th — Black Friday 2025 — totalling that eye-watering €106.8 million.

Last year’s Black Friday, which fell on November 29th, looks almost tame in comparison: 5,043,350 receipts worth €101.3 million.

In other words: 0.5% more receipts, 5.5% more spending — and a whole lot more impulse buying.
