The document states:
“I order: To grant Alekseev Yuri, born in 1958, a citizen of the Republic of Latvia, refugee status in the Republic of Belarus in accordance with Part 1 of Article 19 of the Law, as the applicant has well-founded fears of becoming a victim of persecution in the state of citizenship based on his political beliefs and does not wish to enjoy the protection of that state.”
The journalist himself called it “a birthday present.” He turned 67 years old.
