The strikes come as negotiators meet to discuss a plan to end the war, as ITV News’ Caroline Lewis reports
At least one person was killed after Russia launched fresh strikes on Kyiv, in an attack which came as top US officials and Ukrainian negotiators met to discuss peace plans.
A drone struck a nine-storey block of flats overnight into Sunday, wounding 11 people as well as killing one person in Vyshhorod.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russia launched a total of 122 attack drones overnight and two ballistic missiles, with more reported injuries in Dnipro and Kharkiv.
It came a day after Russia launched the biggest attack on Ukraine in the past month, which left three people dead in the capital and its surrounding area.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, are expected to meet with a Ukrainian delegation for peace talks this weekend.
The latest negotiations will set the stage for negotiations set to take place in Moscow this week between US officials and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Ahead of the meeting between top Trump officials and Ukrainian delegates, Zelenskyy announced his chief of staff and lead negotiator Andrii Yermak had resigned.

The announcement came after Yermak’s home was searched by anti-corruption investigators.
The country’s negotiation team now includes Andrii Hnatov, the head of Ukraine’s armed forces; Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine’s foreign minister; and Rustem Umerov, head of Ukraine’s security council, Zelenskyy has said.
In a post on X on Sunday, Zelenskyy said: “We need real, reliable solutions that will help end this war. I thank everyone who is helping.”

Diplomats have been focused on revisions to Trump’s proposed 28-point peace plan, which has drawn criticism for being overly weighted towards Russian demands.
The plan – which Trump has since downplayed as a “concept” or a “map” to be “fine-tuned” – would also impose limits on the size of Ukraine’s military, block the country from joining NATO, and require Ukraine to hold elections in 100 days.
Trump said on Tuesday that he would send Witkoff and perhaps Kushner to Moscow this week to meet with Putin about the plan.
