While there is plenty of young attacking talent in the Ireland squad at the moment, it will be hoped that further players will be added to the group over the next couple of years.
There are a few emerging young Irish talents coming through at the moment, with Rocco Vata chief amongst them. The 20-year old has been in impressive form for Watford in the Championship this season, scoring two goals and registering two assists.
The player, who came through the ranks at Celtic prior to his move to the Hornets, made his debut for Ireland back in March with a cameo off the bench for the UEFA Nations League play-off against Bulgaria.
Now, he looks set for a big move at club level.

However, it seems that there is also plenty of interest within England.
Mail Sport are reporting Crystal Palace and Fulham are both keen to sign the winger, while European sides Atalanta and Eintracht Frankfurt have also heavily scouted him in recent times. It is suggested that Watford would seek a fee of around £20million for the player.
A move to the Premier League would no doubt appeal to the youngster, although other Ireland internationals have shown the benefit of moving to the continent in recent times.
While it remains to be seen where his next move at club level will be, Rocco Vata will also be hoping to add to his solitary Ireland cap in the near future. An injury issue ruled him out of contention for the November window, but the player could well play himself into contention for the World Cup play-offs in March is he continues to improve at Watford.
In any case, it looks as though 2026 will be a big year for him.
