I emigrated, came home for a week one year and found Dad had been keeping a diary of the weather which he wrote in every evening.
I came home a year later and he wasn’t doing it anymore, I asked him where the diary was. ‘I threw it in the fucking ditch, rain rain rain every fucking day’.
Yep. Can confirm.
Yep, today does end in “Y” alright
This is why they invented Christmas.

So glad I’m in Edinburgh where it’s been lovely and crisp, no rain whatsoever
Missus says it’s 99% of rain. Like it’s density not coverage.
Tá sé an-fluich ar fad anseo i nDún na nGall.
Have they taken the roads in across the island yet?

They’re all out sunbathing in Achill so?

Im in the 1% 🙌🏻🙌🏻
You know it’s a shite weather day in Ireland when only Achill and the western fringes of the country are the only visible landmasses. I’ve been on one of those western islands, watching the dark clouds rolling over continuously to the mainland manys a time.
And the sensors are broken in the other 1%
The only dry part of Ireland is the part where my wife is. I haven’t satisfied her for years now and our sham of a marriage is making us both long for death.
Gotta love that Met Eireann satellite view. It and the wind direction view are all you need. No need for the tsunami of 3rd party weather apps and weather companies that pretend that they’re giving you something extra. They’re not! They’re just repackaging the same data that Met Eireann gets from the same satellites and pretending to give more accurate weather info which is bollox
Except Achill it seems. Which is very ironic if you’ve ever been there.
